mutual respect for the dialogue
Watching on the TV screen the iranian president Amanidijeb offering President Obama to have talks on the basis of mutual respect, a sudden thought splashed over my mind, ' Why not in my country where the depth of hatred and misunderstanding is not that much?' We myanmars are said to, and also proud to, abide by the Buddha's teachings where the spirit of metta, karuna, and muditta flourishes. But unfortunately it happens to virtually all myanmar people that they don't really practise all this simple teachings in their daily life, and as a result the same senerios is observed in the delicate field of politics. The degree of pains and hatred among the political rivals is not invariably that high in Myanmar compared with S Africa, Sudan, the west and the muslim fundamentalists. So please let me tell you again, ' Why not in Myanmar?'
